Tips and tricks for a great stay while you're away...
Whether this is your first time at Hol-a-Pet Inn, or your first time ever at a kennel, we've learned a few things about what keeps the fur-kins happy. We'd like to share that with you.
Tip 1: Make sure that your Critter Kid is up-to-date on all required vaccinations. Remember to bring the shot record with you! We have a spotless health record, and we plan to keep it that way!
Tip 2: Communicate your pet's quirks to us - whether positive or "problematic". If you have an escape artist, a finicky eater, a runner, or a pet that is more people friendly than "other pet" friendly, let us know. It helps us plan to keep your pet happy, safe and stress-free during outdoor play times and rest breaks. No matter how insignificant or benign the behavior seems to you, it can still help us to help your pet have a happy and safe experience!
Tip 3: Crate train your pet, if possible. Pets who are used to crates think of their crate as their safe zone. If your pet has never seen the inside of a crate, let us know. This helps us to make sure that your pet gets acclimated to the temporary living arrangement with a minimum of stress.
Tip 4: Bring your own food, treats, meds and perhaps a favorite toy for nap time. Make sure that you bring enough food and meds for the whole stay. Include all special instructions, too.
